Afternoon fellas. Hanging out in the deer blind with the little guy. Not sure we're gonna make it till dark thirty...
Hi Dave,Went with a 272 farmertec piston to go with the big bore. Then I found an old thread where Randy said they run like [emoji90] with this setup. Just playing around so not much to lose either way..[emoji1]
45° here we've been seeing deer all day. Too bad it's not doe season, could've got him one.I'm debating if I wanna go or not it's hot here.

Well that's encouraging at least. This stock saw just collects dust, sooooo....That's what this one is.
Steve cut popups in them 160s 170s comp.
I like it I've been running the piss out of it today.
Vibes are a bit more than my 50mm saw's
Not bad
Might not have that issue with a real husky bottom end.
I'm gonna be rich 223.00 hickory end tables.View attachment 98529

Thanks man. I'll be sure to hog them out.I might have exaggerated a little. lol
I prefer the non windowed piston in em. The open piston seems to not make enough case compression.....and that kills midrange torque in my humble opinion.
If you are gonna use the 272 piston, then open the hell out of the lowers.......way up the bore even. That will not help case compression of course, but it will allow more volume to be moved.
Your probably right i haven't tried more than a 20inch barI might have exaggerated a little. lol

Would cutting down the cylinder extension by the transfers help in this regard?
