Hi Dave,Went with a 272 farmertec piston to go with the big bore. Then I found an old thread where Randy said they run like [emoji90] with this setup. Just playing around so not much to lose either way..[emoji1]

I like it I've been running the piss out of it today.
Vibes are a bit more than my 50mm saw's
Not bad
Might not have that issue with a real husky bottom end.

I might have exaggerated a little. lol

I prefer the non windowed piston in em. The open piston seems to not make enough case compression.....and that kills midrange torque in my humble opinion.

If you are gonna use the 272 piston, then open the hell out of the lowers.......way up the bore even. That will not help case compression of course, but it will allow more volume to be moved.

Your probably right i haven't tried more than a 20inch bar
But i flat rips with a 20
I'll have to try a longer bar to really tell the difference.
Didn't touch the uppers but ground the lowers and exhaust a bit.

Would cutting down the cylinder extension by the transfers help in this regard?
