Funny you say that. I heard the first winter storm warning from the weather guessed today. Not local but Northern Manitoba Flin Flon and Churchill. 50 cms of snow and high winds next 48 hours.

Yah, you betcha, can't drink something if it's froze solid, best bring alcohol.
When the water in the beer freezes and all you're left with is the alcohol to drink. Goes straight to head.

Reminds me of when I took a Southern gal for a ride out to the ice shack in the truck. She asked me, "What do you people grow out in these fields", to which I replied "Fish, this is a lake, we're driving over 24' of water right now". I was not able to explain that there was also three feet of ice between us, as she near pawed me to death, to get her the heck off that darn lake. So much for fishing that day, had to go to a warm tavern instead.

Yeah,when I lived down south we got a rare snow that fell deep and it stuck around. They wanted me to show 'em how we drove in the snow. One rollback turnaround and they'd had enough. Weren't to crazy about doing fifty on packed down snow either.

The gas main was under the wood blocking that's why we shot at ourselves. It's rare that that the gas is deep enough to go over.
