Brian, Sure hope it heals well before your nice Wisconsin winter. Encourage her to not hurry the recovery. I broke my pelvis and destroyed all tendons and ligaments on one side. The doctor told me he fixed me good and if I put no weight on it for six weeks it would all be good. Six weeks in a chair is a long time but I never put any weight on it and just like he promised I've never had any issues with it. Still carry some metal but no issues. Good luck, I hope she heals well. Maybe better not let her have any Point Special till she's better. I've seen that stuff make people do weird *s-word.
