I can't bring myself to sell a single stick.. always seems like so much work for the little money it brings in my area. I have a buddy that lives in Wyoming he told me a cord of oak will bring 500 bucks. Now if I could get that hell yeah.
Yep and way to many hands in the game out here.

Hardly anyone heats with wood anymore where I am southern Va. Mostly older people who grew up that way. When I tell people I heat with wood they look at me like I'm a nut lol.

Hey bud. I was just sitting here thinking about why would get you into saws if you don't use it for heat. I understand if you mill or tree removal but just for the hell of it... I'm glad so many have because of all I learn from them but I find it interesting.
Cheaper than cars lol

Out here alot of people have been going back to wood. Propane has gone way up in price and people out in the country don't have too many options l.

I guess I'd be called a "prepper" now days. Growing up we always had a garden canned food hunted etc.. so having a source of heat that didn't rely on anyone or thing just made sense. Another thing if you have never felt the heat from a wood stove you don't know what you're missing lol.

I got a friend who is an arborist, and asked him once why don't you process all the trees you take down for customers and haul off for them and start a firewood buisness? He said, I can make more money in 5hr's taking tree's down than 5 day's making and delivering firewood. lol
