Any idea what year that beauty is?
I can't say that I've ever seen an 044 with a plastic top cover badge and no decomp hole.

The guy that brought it in to the dealer had gotten it from his nephew's estate. He was cautious bringing it in as he thought it might be hot. Dealer ran tje serial number and he was the original seller of the saw to said nephew. Je quoted 10 years ago. I will check again when I get it to the garage. Serial number starts with 144...

Drove 30+ miles to a jonsered/shindaiwa/echo dealer to pick up a 372 wrist pin bearing 9.00 when called 17.50 when i got there lol
I told them to keep it.
they do have the new shinny lineup
Same price as the echo.
I like the red better they didn't have a 620 just the 600sx.

Several time's I've called for part's and when i got there the price had inflated sometimes doubled often the wrong part anyway.
When the echo 590 came out i tried to buy one and couldn't get waited on after 30 minute's i was the only customer lol.
So i bought one off ebay for 290.00 new shipped.
Many of my friends won't set foot there.
But one of my friends is a tech so i talked to him for awhile.

Once I went in there with part numbers. They asked how I got those numbers.......

Of course I laughed and walked out.

I have a great dealer about 2 miles from my apartment. I used to drive 30 miles round trip when I was in college for stihl parts. That was a good dealer too, he even sold me a couple saws from his junk pile.
