I've got a few buddies in the car parts business and they are keeping a eye out for some 44's out of a totaled Rubicon.

I'm finding Ford Explorer's and Mercury Mountaineers for under a grand. I'm leaning towards buying one of those and taking the axle out and then hauling the rest to the scrap yard.
