Well keep me updated...what's up with the 550?
It started like this. Muffler cracked the front ears off from being beaten up.

Wobbled out the mounting holes in the cylinder.
@rattler Mike gave me a different cyl to put on it.
Had to order a new muffler and vac / pressure kit.
I got that this week and put it back together to test. And it's leaking at the seal.

Morning Dallas, doing alright. Little house cleaning now and trying to figure out something for the grill or smoker. Or I might say the hell with it and order something a little later. How 'bout you? Going to see and spend the day with momma?

Yeah you may be onto something there, I'd pop the seals and check the bearings over very carefully. They are not like 1970's bearings. Lol

Needs a seal on the pto side........now I'm at the point of. Do I just change the seals or split it and do bearings too and be done with it.

Seeing as you're doing it for your Dad, might be best to just put a set of metal caged bearings in so as not have to revisit it later. I would not be surprised if the PTO side is bad right now.

Ya, that's what I'm thinking too. I really hate having to do things twice.
