I worked doing millright work for about a year. The gloves they gave us were green apes. I think they were cotton.

Pretty sad reality that we have to deal with school shootings

That's very sad indeed.

Up until a year or so ago the MO was for law enforcement to take the bastard or bastards out and after that send in the medics to take care of the casualties. They found out that potentially caused more casualties from victims bleeding out.

They discovered that if they send in guys right behind the initial entry team we can start working victims sooner to stop them from hemorrhaging out.

Our emergency response system is putting on a drill today at the high school. The SWAT teams are doing some active shooter drills inside the school today. A few of us on our fire department are training with them. We'll be training "going in hot" with the teams and taking care of the casualties and doing extrication.
