Some left from last Labor Day. Lowe's/HD will run twin 20lb bags around Memorial Day / Labor Day wknds for $9.99 a twin. Got another ten or so twin 20lb bags up in the top of the shop, lol.

Actually, the last couple of yrs, they've been twin 18.6lb bags for the same price...you ain't gonna find 37lbs or 40lbs of Kingsford no cheaper. I'll load that Mega-Cab slam to the top of the siderails, or take a trailer one, when they have it on sale.

Not firing him up today. College daughter went with one of her roommates to Acworth, Ga (Lake Allatoona little north of Atlanta) to see her folks this wknd. They'll be by here about 5pm to eat, stick around a couple of hours, then set sail for the 2hr drive back to the dorm. She wants a skillet of lightly fried corn with a can of creme-style added at the end, pot of green beans w/new potatos, pot of rice, and some chicken legs in the Char-Broil oil-less turkey cooker. Who the hell am I to say no?...lol. I just thought I was gonna escape the cookpot today...wrongo there!

Of course the fried corn and green beans will be seasoned as usual with Lords Country Cured Side Meat. That Lords Side Meat is the cats' ass when it comes to seasoning beans, peas, collards, turnips. Although I do season a heap with ham hocks and smoked turkey neck bones.

It is melting today but tge snow in the yard is still thigh deep. Winter storm warning on the screen for tomorrow with temps dropping to the teens F after Tuesday.
