What happened to the quality of Kohler engines, they used to be regarded as one of the best. The new ones I've dealt with are cheap junk. working on one now that has a throw away carb. no adjustment and mostly plastic. It needs a fuel solenoid and they want 80 bucks for it.Seen a Kohler courage a while back that the whole case broke and split in half.
Courage was a mistake. There was a letter sent to dealers apologizing for them. As for the other quality....pretty much all of them are going that way. Its very sad.

Have you seen any of the Spartans in your area yet? They're the other zero turn manufacturer in Batesville.

I run two of the 850cc 31hp kawis on zero turns. One at home , one at work. The one at home on an '09 Hustler consumed a little oil (30wt) for a while, I switched to 40wt and it slowed consumption considerably. I haven't ran the bad boy at work more than 100 hrs yet, but switched it to 40wt anyway. I disregarded the mower manufacturer manual and went with the kawi manual specs on oil, 40wt above 68°F.

Plus Mikey sez hey. Waiting on his new mower arrival.

Not yet, I'll keep an eye out for them. what color are they?

It is sad, I hate those non adjustable carbs. I see them on all of the engines, even Hondas.
