28.00for 5 lb bag plus shipping gives you close to 10 lbs after said and done. The green coffee beans will keep for long time as well.

What's your source for Raw Beans?

I assume you are roasting on the stove with the Whirly pop, rather than the oven.
What are you using to determine level of roast as it progresses?

My wife runs through Coffee Beans like crazy, and Meijer is over priced on their less than stellar stuff.
It's time to go Galt on the Beans.
