I thought I was the only one with a homemade block off plate like yours. I've since gotten the ones from Husqvarna, so the manifold doesn't have to be removed. That and the amount I'm using them now that the saws are getting older and need checking.

I have the original service tool from Husqvarna, I always pressure test these 5xx. On this one there was a defective boot, on the boot's cylinder mount. That's why I made this tool, to pressure test without a boot.

When you go back together with it, don't forget to flush out or replace the cooler. Often overlooked and if neglected a good reason many replacements fail in short order.
