Good morning bridge fans.
I can still recall going over the Moyie River Canyon Bridge in Idaho at a stellar 30 MPH with no traffic about. When I reached halfway and looked down at the trees down at the bottom looked like specs, the guard rails gave me a reasonable amount of safety if a tire blew out or a tie rod gave out, it would catch me. Was nothing compared to the Mighty Mac with that dern pipe, nor was the Chesapeake Bay Bridge it too had guard rails, not very tall ones, but guard rails none the less. The guard rail champ was the floating bridge across lake Washington in Seattle, those things looked like they could catch a tractor trailer.

I’m building a vacuum filter for my syrup operation. I think it’ll be a worthwhile upgrade. Filtering is the worst part of the whole deal.

When traveling east on it in certain parts a passenger can stick their head out the window and look straight down the mountain side.

Morning boys. Gonna finish the baseboard and cap molding on Big Reds new wainscoating. Then check the brakes on the daughters car. Just got it back from the bodyshop and it gets inspected Tuesday.

At least they were nice enough to have that, have seen some smaller roads out west with nothing. Was riding around with Big Guy and Ronnie Bob in Montana and Ronnie kept pulling over and looking down for deer sign. I looked out the back window and the rear tire was half on and the other half hanging over into space... nuts!

Morning gentlemen. Skipping church since 3/4 of us have some sort of cold AGAIN! Got some work to do on both kid’s dirt bikes and then get loaded up for a Rx burn tomorrow on another WMA. My son has been toying with the idea of selling wood so he wants to get started cutting a splitting. Have a good Sunday.

Munising. We don't get snow piles taller than me south of the 45th anymore unless we're in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Here's some on the scary thing. The two center lanes are grated so air can pass through. If you roll the window down and stick your head out you can see straight through to the lake below. It's pretty cool. They pull you around a little as you move from grate to grate.
About 20 years ago I came back from a bike trip and had to cross it in the rain. It was windy as well, but it's always windy up there. They were doing construction on the outer lanes, so I had to travel on the wet metal grates. I made new friends that Sunday going 15 mph with my feet out the whole way across. I was on a 450lb full of fluids GSX-R750.
