Our local VFW nothing fancy here serves whatever was left on the stove from the previous week
My neighbor said the hotdogs were a light blueish color last winter
So they turned from green to blue
They were green two weeks before that.
Our vfw does not have a fully operational kitchen. There are two events that go on there. Omelette breakfast through the sons of the American legion and the veterans steak fry. 20 events in all throughout the year. The ovens get used for cheesy hash browns for breakfast and baked potatoes for steak fry.

I've had my last cup of tea for the evening and am going to bed.

I am considering, very much, buying a 540 XP Mark III with a rear handle.
Now we can also choose between 325 Mini, 3/8LP and 325 NK.
I myself am leaning towards wanting to have a 3/8 and running a Stihl super chain.
It will be used to clear brushes with.

I still have a 372 and a 560 for the larger trees.

Relatively close to me, a new European highway is being built, 4 lanes, I assume that Øsa will not go to the forest due to construction roads and such. So the chance that I will be logging a lot is quite high.

a
@JoeDirt. How was day one selling hardware?
First day went not bad. Managers both seem like decent guys, both older and work this as a retirement job, one was a City of Pittsburgh firefighter and the other was an industrial engineer. Other coworkers seem good too, most are a little younger than me; college students and a couple in high school. The owners seem a bit nitpicky but not unbearable.

Good job Joe. You are at the one on route 19 by the big giant eagle
Thanks John. Yep, the on 19 in Wexford in near where the big Starlite car cruise used to be.
The Ace near me has Stihl equipment, a kick ass BBQ department, and always lots of random stuff on clearance. I love it. Good luck!
Thanks Tim. This one sells Stihl, but doesn’t do any service. Mostly homeowner stuff although I’m sure they can order in big stuff. They were thrilled that I knew anything about chainsaws. LOTS of barbecues and smokers and everything that goes with them. There’s also a weird quasi-hallmark section, but I think that’s the owner more than anything.

Stihl has .325 rapid super chain, it comes in three gauge flavors, .050, .058 and .063. Not sure how a 540 would do with 3/8 chain.

Good morning guffers & puffers .

Yesterday I had to help a friend with his bees from a neighbours garden, he kept them there but the guy moved and some new guys moved in 🤦‍♂🤷‍♂️
Then he’s had the task for the last 2 months of trying to get them back.

Yesterday day time he got the ok and I had to help him as he’s got health issues. the new neighbour was having an all removed last night.
I did my best yesterday for the situation we had. As I only had 1.5hrs to spare, So now it’s moving them more than 3 miles.

I’ll take some pics today

I use some 325 RS Pro on my 242's, 25RS on one.
On the 540 I might lean towards 3/8 low profile being best suited, I don't want the thin 325 mini 043 ga.
I’ve been running the 23rs pro on my 543, but it is ported. It’s some of the fastest factory chain I’ve ever run. I bet the 540 would handle it fine.

Dang, can't like that, I'm sorry. I know it's terminology used all too often, but faith and a positive attitude may not be able to change nature's course, but it may help everyone keep as positive an attitude as could be possible. Prayers sent out for positive biopsy reports

It makes me sad to hear, let's hope the biopsy comes back with a type that is a very slow type.
