Looks like the big end bearing came apart and took it all out.

Bearings are all fine, main rod and shaft bearings. I wonder if a ring caught. Lots of sharp edges in the transfers…no real bevels. Two ring pieces, 3/16” in the bottom.

Good morning men, another fine day ahead. More rain expected. Ground is still sucking it up. Everything is lush and green, more hay is planned. May even hay the back yard, getting pretty tall back there. Too wet to now, may just sickle it down.

Morning / Evening All. A little sluggish start to the day, was woken a couple times during the night by the dog. It’s unusual for her to want out during the night but as we’d been out for several hours in the evening I didn’t think too much of it, wasn’t until we got outside and she fully tucked her tail that I knew what was going on, “Crying” coyotes from what felt like a couple hundred feet away. She didn’t want out, just wanted them to shut up.
I certainly wouldn’t mind the coyotes cleaning up the bunny or goose population but the calling of the neighbourhood dogs is disconcerting.

Skipped the walk, not too interested in being out in the dark with coyotes actively hunting.

That crank looked rough....but hard to tell from pictures. Ring locating pin is missing out of the piston ain't it?
