Worked a 16 hours overtime shift at work yesterday for Good Friday, smoking a turkey and making 2 smaller prime ribs. Usually cook the prime rib in the oven but tempted to do one oven and one smoker but never smoked a prime rib.

Once you cook a prime rib in the smoker you'll never do it in the oven again, it's worth it & the family will enjoy it even more, I use to fry turkey for thanks giving, but once I switched to smoking it, everyone told me how much better it was, I still prefer a fried turkey over the smoked, but a happy family with full stomach and no leftovers speaks for itself.

I've done turkey a bunch of different ways. Brined for 24 hours, stuffed with apples, lemons, and thyme, and cooked breast down in a roaster is my favorite so far.

Morning all, 34 and calling for flurries

Avalanche warning for the mountains just north of us because they are expecting a foot of snow above 4,000 feet

Gray and gloomy here, headed out later to try and sort out my older son's car; won't start or even turn over

Whatcha making?
We’re taking a sweet potato casserole and a bit of a charcuterie board for before. Up to 5 celiacs at this dinner now so much more food is consumable so I don’t need to take a full plate anymore.
My granddaughter is making cupcakes for tomorrow. Sometime during the process she lost a fake fingernail. LOL

I suggested that we offer a prize to whoever finds the fingernail.
Tamara uses nail stickers and is always losing one when doing a lot of cooking, I’m convinced the come off washing as we’ve never found one in any food.

You can stop by and help build the next one. Then haul it home. It will mean more to you if you help. LOL
Trust me, you don't want me anywhere near anything like that, for that you want my younger son to help, he gets all Zen with woodworking

I was a millwright in the wood products industry for many years and had a real knack for working on the equipment but I have never had the knack for working with wood

I think that's the message Loony has been trying to get across to Dall, for the last few dozen pages.

Looney rarely plays with his own wood
And he’s admitted to playing with others hoses
Can’t help that you don’t understand that unless your hose is one he’s playing with
Breasts down, ass up, wasn't that Dallas' favorite position in the barn at the GTG?
Your spank bank is showing
DALLAS !!!!

DALLAS !!!!
@maulhead says he has pictures
Kinda worries me

What are you getting at? If you think I didn’t give them 2 1/2 times the normal work your probably correct.
I’m just making a point about how those young kids in the daycare thread brag about how hard they work, like they’re adults and have actual responsibility. It wasn’t a knock against you.
