Good morning geezers and wheezers. It's a balmy 28F and headed to the 40's later today. Finally got the o.k. for overtime again. They won't admit there's a manpower and/or motivational issue, but the coffers are opened up again for overwork, I mean overtime. Have a productive and safe day.

Good morning fellas. Up and at’em this morning - gotta get to town and go to my DOT physical appt, and get adjusted, at the chiropractor. 10-20 mph winds here today, blowing in some weather for later. Tomorrow we’re supposed to see 20-30 mph with 40 mph gusts while it snows.

Morning / Evening All.
Have cleared customs so technically in ‘Merica now…
GFY’s all around as I am on to ATL and then DFW, sucks that the weather in Dallas looks to be pretty yoyoish this week

Safe travels.
Too bad you aren't going to someplace cool vs a couple of our big cess pools.

Any chance you’re doing a meat and greet near Warner Robbins?

Only in ATL for a few hours, going to hit the SkyClub and get my drink on.
I like Dallas, we’re pretty regimented in what we do when we are there but manage to have lots of fun and stay safe. Deep Elum is always fun on a Friday night.

@dall isn't a doctor but I'm sure he would be glad to give you a physical

Been way to productive already this morning. Wife's car remotes were operating intermittently. I expected low voltage batteries. Not the case this time. Opened and found that both had solder connections that had come loose that hold the coin cell frame in place.
Reflowed and added a bit of additional solder, one working perfectly and the second working most of the time.

I'm thinking that the conductive material is nearing end of life on the one that's not 100%. Now where did I place that replacement part?

If there's a rubber overlay on the contact points, wipe those off with a cloth. They tend to build up some carbon or whatever deposits over time from the small arc that happens when contact is made

Cleaned the boards on both when apart. With a eye loupe you could see that slight carbon film on the copper.
Thanks, Ed.
