Don’t recall wearing socks with crocks, they are a summer time shoe

He was holding something for me to cut. Saw grabbed it, jerked his hand toward the saw, and the saw toward his hand. Caught his glove. Hell, we both know better than to do stuff like that, but we do it anyway thinking we are somehow immune to bad things happening. God only knows how many times we've done it, and gotten away with it. I feel like I've really failed as a teacher, mentor, grandfather, etc.

I wouldn't say you failed. Fail is a harsh word. I'm sure The Bubba is proud to have you as a mentor/teacher/grandfather. Mistakes and accidents do happen. I've broken every safety rule you can think of and now in my new job I'm the guy busting the youngsters asses for chit i got away with. Prayers that the hand and fingers are just ugly not hindered in any way.

I don't like slip on shoes or boots, socks fall down then get all bunched up around the heel & ankle, and drive me nuts, give me footwear with laces or I'll go barefoot.

i dont wear knee high socks
the ones i wear go about 4 inches above the ankle or so and dont fall down

Around here if you don't have tidy whities on when your booked in, then you get to go commando.

I had blue boxers on last time, so I went commando for 3 weeks.

I never really figured out why they have these rules. Why does it matter what color my undies are in there?

Or, by having this accident, and being able to recover from it, you prevented a much more serious accident. We learn more from failure than we do from success. And by posting it here, we all get to learn from it. Don't be so hard on yourself.
