Fine thread has more clamping force.

Yes with more turns to get to the right torque and don’t vibrate lose as easily the list goes on & on.

Yes, I went for a root canal once, $1000, sat there for 4 hours then he said I've drilled all the way to the bottom and it's cracked all the way down. It will have to be pulled. You can go to your dentist or we will do it for half price since you're already here. Another $200. Very pizzed, I was.

My dentist charged me to tell me I needed a root canal, referred me to the root canal guy, who charged $1,000 to drill and then tell me it’s cracked and has to come out but he only does root canals, so he has to refer me to yet another oral surgeon for yup, you guessed it, another $1,000 for a consultation and extraction

Even with insurance my wallet was lightened substantially

Side note on the cracked tooth story

I went to my dentist for one of my 6 month cleanings a couple of years ago and told her I was having a sensitivity issue with a certain molar so she looked at the X-rays and discovered I had THREE cracked molars

I am like what the actual fukk, how to you crack three molars without doing something stupid like opening beer bottles or cracking nuts or something

This was 2020 or 2021 and the dentist told me there was a nationwide epidemic of cracked teeth that was a direct result of the stress of living under all the Covid *B-S....
