Just got home from a Walmart grocery run. Someone must have dropped off a whole bus load of illegals. English was the second language there today. Don't like it but i ain't moving so don't even bring it up.

Next town over has two stone quarries. Mexicans literally everywhere... I feel bad for the folks that have been there for generations. They gotta lock all their shît up now or it grows legs. The families that have imported the mfers deserve a dose of backwoods justice IMO.

Tamara and I both have birthdays in September and usually keep it up until late just in case we get a day or two that is nice. I think the 20th was our last swim this year. With everything g going on with T’s parents and then Elliott’s birthday I the fall jobs just got behind.

I don’t do ours myself. I closed it and opened it once and in-ground pools are a PITA to do, so now i pay a pool company to do both.

When we were in the city and had an inground I used to hire too. The above ground only has one return/ feed and all the equipment is at on end. Hardest part was lowering the water level as my utility pump too a chit.

Three days from Hell for me every year. Opening and closing the pool down with my dear wife. Glad it's been done for awhile now.

The “valley” used to be quite notorious for meth labs but a lot of that has been dealt with

The area I live in now has very little in the way of crime

Unless we are going onto the Air Force Base I have a handgun and a substantial knife or two on me at all times

I’m the only one who will protect we and mine if the *s-word hits the fan

The cops are only there to write it up afterwards, assuming a person survives

I’ve done things this way all my adult life (except while in Hawaii) and it’s second nature

Call me paranoid or crazy or whatever

Not too bad, neighbour saw what I was doing and lent me his 2” utility pump, saved me close to an hour if I’d had to do it all with the pool pump. Still debating on the cover, not on yet and may skip it. Also put all the patio furniture etc away.
