Momma’s favorite pop up BBQ food truck is open this afternoon in the next town over so we will head there in an hour or so and pick up 3 pounds of brisket

It’s usually pretty amazing

I whipped her up a bowl of coleslaw as a side dish, her favorite



Good BBQ is about the only thing she misses from the 2 years we lived in Kentucky

Went to Walmart today and did some shopping. Bought this beefy 25" Hyper Tough pry bar for $11. Has a strike cap and is made in USA. I think that's hard to beat.

Then came home and gave the truck a good wash.

I phoned the insurance co this morning . The man says …. It’s my fault …..umm that’s What I already know.. and that they will get a garage to call me and I will have to take it there and then they will assess it.… .


I also superglued the two bits of the red plastic light cover together and then used 4 dry wall screws to hold it in place over the light as a fug lotta tape will look crap and won’t last in the wind & wet, I just need to see if it needs a little bit of sticky tape in the odd place (or 2) to stop any white light. Which I marked up in the pic.

They aren’t particularly bothered by people so you know they were raised by someone

There are 5 that have taken up residence

Curious to see if they can winter over

Well, I can legally shoot here so...



But the boss has kind of adopted them so I doubt shooting them is in the cards

One is obviously a male and chases the other 4 around so maybe I might have the start of a herd

We had a few deer in the back yard too, but the turkeys were all out on the west end of the island
