I have to laugh at this because if I don't I will lose my mind thinking about all the same type of scenarios I could tell you all about. The one part I don't enjoy about going to my girls sports stuff is the other parents.
Yelling, screaming, just plain being fùckheads..
Last spring I was sitting behind some 5'4" 400lb jackwad who was critiquing my oldest daughters entire softball game.
After 4 innings of him giving his expert opinion on what each kid should have done I had to move or I'd have gotten pissed. Dude couldn't have made to 1st base without a box of twinkies and a minor heart attack.
I like your order of events.Good morning measurers. Church, remove a driveshaft from the skidder, then family time. Have a good Sunday men.
At least your battery won’t rust now...
I make sure my priorities are in order. Try to set the best example for my young boys as I am able. After all - I’m raising men.I like your order of events.
Agree. It has to start at home.I make sure my priorities are in order. Try to set the best example for my young boys as I am able.
Unfortunately not the norm anymore in this country. But that’s a can of worms we probably shouldn’t open.Agree. It has to start at home.

I've been to a lot of kids sporting events but the worst is youth wrestling. If you've never been around the sport, you can't comprehend the insanity.
Have you ever coached? Parents are extending hard on coaches, I actually refuse to coach kids sports now. The worst was coaching baseball with my oldest, first year above T-ball so young kids. Parents kept complaining that the kids never played at practice, why don’t they scrimmage? I’m sorry but my job at that level is to teach fundamentals, catching, throwing and hitting are learned through repetition not through one ball every once in a while by chance. “ They need to have fun!” They’ll have a lot more fun winning the game because they knew what to do and had the skill to do it.I have to laugh at this because if I don't I will lose my mind thinking about all the same type of scenarios I could tell you all about.

I do coach baseball, football, and wrestling and I agree with what you've said. I have a speech ready for my baseball parents this year - it'll be something like this (needs tweaked a little) - I've been afforded the opportunity to give your children 4 evenings of my week for the next 3.5 months. I'm the coach, I volunteered, and I appreciate you and your kids more than you know. Your children will be treated like they're my own - should they not hustle, listen, or pay attention, they will run in big circles around the field until they decide they want to do as told . This isn't for me to get pleasure (I do run 100 mile plus ultra marathons though) from but rather so they understand what it takes to get better and be respectful. If you have suggestions on how to do something better, please let me know and I'll gladly entertain them. If you think I'm doing something wrong and you believe you can do better, here is the practice bag, set of keys for the fields, and roster, but please know that I'm here and hour before practice getting the field and gear ready and I am still here putting things away while you're most likely eating dinner. Don’t get me started on hockey parents, they are the absolute worst. Thankfully neither of my boys showed any interest in playing hockey. I dated a hockey mom once, they are all *frenching crazy!!!
