This is the 2023 with like 23 miles on it.
It was already repainted because of transportation damage. Supposedly a strap came loose and bashed the hell out of it.

We're at +41f here, It's short sleeved outside t-shirt weather, almost no wind and still sunny. Good news for the day.

Went to the county courthouse....paid land taxes on 35 acres, three barns, and a house. Grand total....just under 600.00

I would imagine counties “up north” here are more likely to need/spend more money for snow removal, etc. It costs a small fortune for the salt, plows, maintenance, and all the man hours to keep the roads open 4-5 months out of the year..

thats a fair bit if what we spend up here, but i just looked, the friggin county jail is actually highest single line item. which is a friggin joke. m-fer sits empty most of the time.

charge us residents out the nose for the jail, then they rent beds to other counties to house their trash and get paid for it. dirtbags.

We’re going through the same thing right now - new jail being built as we speak because it “wasn’t compliant” anymore. So they ship all the inmates to surrounding counties...

we went through an episode with a sherriff about 10 years ago. he was all about cutting costs. said he would never ask for more millage funding. once elected, every single chance to put a millage increase on the ballot, he did, and was succesful (barely) every time. now we have twice as many officers and now have 24 hr road patrol. its bonkers.

With all this security caution on the forum I asked him to send me a pic of him so I could clear it with someone on the forum that has actually met him.
He looks familiar to me, but I cant place him?
