The 24 valves are good trucks too. The VP44 is a bit of a weak link but a p-pump swap will fix that right up. The 24 valve trucks definitely have nicer interiors, assuming the dash is still intact lol.I had been looking for a 12 valve for a long time and didn’t find what I was looking for - but when my 24 valve popped up, I decided I better jump on it. Glad I did, there were 6 others behind me waiting to buy it.
The Dodge was a fun truck to wrench on and drive for a while but I did everything I wanted to do with it and I get easily bored at that point. It also took up a lot of driveway real estate and I have an F150 sitting here that is capable of everything I need it to do.Yeah, I guess I missed that.
Damn good decision IMHO.
Old Skylark looks solid, if not needing a little trim.
Then again, what fella doesnt need a little trim...![]()
The Skylark was a California car so it has very little rust. The interior is roasted from the sun as is some of the paint but it'll be a great project. I've got those trim pieces too. I just took them off so I didn't lose them on the highway towing it home lol.
