Most goodest!
Thats close to the biggest one they made. 8070 I think?
They were working on an 8095 when the lights went out.
Made 3 of them as prototypes I think.
2 are still farming, or were last I heard.
Farmer bought them without engines and repowered with either Cummins or Komatsu I think. Cant exactly remember.
That sounds about right. I think they have 8.3 Cummins in them now…I thought that is what AC was going to put in them, but can’t remember for sure.

Went back and checked.
The Daehler farm in MO bought the 2 of them from the folks that bought them from the AC test farm. Those folks had put in the 8.3 Cummins motors.
They originally had Komatsu 11 liter motors that could go all the way to 300 HP.
Plan was to start the 9000 series and use those motors. AC didnt have the money to build a bigger engine at the time. The 426 Allis motor was doing all it was capable of in the 8070.

I am a stones throw from 75 speedway, I hear them all the time. Probably racing tonight. Looks like you had fun playing in the dirt.
Checked that one out on the phone. Might do a return trip this fall Larry. Will keep that in mind. Never know this old guy may pop in someday.
