Big difference between a purpose built 'car' TDCi and a 4BT tho Big Mark. The 5cyl in my toy truck will rev to 4k if necessary, and has a 6 speed. New versions nearly all 10 speed now.
A 4BT is basically a stationary engine. Very low usable rev range, and gearbox options to make best use of that? Limited as I recall.

Now your proper trucks. Different story.

Well I got the wood shed full finally.
Theres about a dozen rounds of that pine left to split, but I'm gonna hafta figger out where to put it so it stays reasonably dry and can get some air.
Brain is overheated, so that can wait.
I also managed to stand still at the splitter long enough for fireants to crawl up my pants legs and tatoo my legs about 338 times.
