She worked around the house. I tidied up some stuff on the equipment and hauled hay. Then we went out to eat.

We did have a beautiful red white face calf born yesterday morning though.

My wife and I have both forgotten our anniversary, only to be called mid day by her mother wishing us a happy anniversary. She can't say anything when we both forget. My excuse is it is hard to remember a special day, when they are all special.

Congrats on the calf too. Going to be cutting hay here soon too. Got to check the old 268 and make sure no mice have eaten my twine.

The weather is iffy right now....but I think we will cut today. Gonna see what my brother in law wants to do.

Start taking the twine out and storing it inside each fall. Saves time and money.

Looks like rain off and on this coming week. We got hit hard the other night when it missed you. I just make sure they didn't build a nest in the center of the bails. I use poly and they don't seem to like it like sisal. Wasps are the real problem, they seem to like square bailers.

Good question Tim. The momma cow went way out in the woods to have it. I found her and the calf yesterday morning....but didn't even try to see what it was. Maybe I'll get a look this morning.

On square bales, I can see using it though.

We cut the twine and remove it always when we feed. We dispose of it and never leave it on the ground. Drives me crazy when I see it on the ground at my neighbors farm. I like the bearings on my equipment to last. Had to help the neighbor with his Heston round baler last year, twine wrapped around the infeed bearings so tight it would not cut, hard as a rock. Had to burn it out. I told him he should switch to netting, then he would have to remove it when feeding. Said he would rather replace bearings.[/QUOTE]
