I would have a hard time profiting from someone else's misery. Like pawn shops, whenever I go in one, I think about what situation someone had to be in to have to sell something small just to get by. Yet without the pawn shop, that would eliminate an opportunity for that guy to get the $75 he needs.

If we spent the money we spend on the war on drugs, for treatment and recovery programs, we would be way ahead. So you know it will never happen. Not being political, just pondering. Sorry if I violated any rules.

Morning Friday fappers. Between things being slow and a lot of time off in May, it's been quite a while since I badged in on a Saturday. Tomorrow's the day, allegedly... still plenty of time for the needle dick management to change their mind and cancel, as they often do. Honestly I'm good either way I'd just like to know know. Morning / Evening All.

Meetings all day yesterday then a retirement dinner after work. More meetings today and then off to BC Monday morning.

Anyone thinking about moving to British Columbia?

I love BC, would take the family and move there if we were locked in where we are while Tamara’s parents are alive.

The drugs are already there and every where. The idea behind decriminalization is harm reduction. It is much easier to seek help for your addiction if you don’t fear getting arrested for carrying.
It isn’t like the legalizing of pot, the government isn’t going to try and get in the market selling and supplying it.

In the end it is about trying to find ways to help people that desperately need it. These people would benefit from treatment, incarceration doesn’t solve anything.

I say that every day Adam.
This week has been a rough one. Every job just goes to chit.
Tore the entire front off this GMC for a grille shutter. Made sure new one operated. Put together, took for a road test. Quit working.
Of course, whole front end had to come back off for me to find the wire that was pierced and corroded and only making contact at certain times...like when I fukking tested it.
Then a shackle bolt that ended up spinning the bushing..

While I agree with some of this Gary I feel like conceding that "the drugs are already here" feels a bit like endorsing the distribution of them. Also, decriminalization may take down some barriers to rehabilitation, I feel it also takes down barriers to experimentation, which for some can lead to addiction. I have no statistics to back this up, just first hand observation. Removing punishment for mis-behavior is a big problem in the home as well as in society.
