Hit the Giant Foods supermarket on the way home from work today…got my discount yardbird, lol. Buddy of mine from HS days decades ago owns this particular Giant Foods franchise (his dad owned it for many years before he took over). Anyhoo, I get yardbird for pennies on the dolla from him. All I do is call him and let him know I’m swinging by. 4 whole cutup chickens, two family packs of 8 each thighs, 10lb bag of leg quarters. Rung up price $37 and some change…my drive out price $15 before tax. They cut all their meats there at the store, three butchers in the meat dept every single day. Got it all broken down and into freezer bags and to the shop freezer it went.

Bird is the word…

For that amount of meat I would recommend vac seal. But yeah. You're good.

I’ve had a FoodSaver vacuum machine for prob 20 years. Still works like a champ…just don’t use it that much anymore. Bird don’t loiter in the freezer long enough around here nohow to justify using the bags.

Prices are all over the place. It depends on the model of car/truck and the style of converter. Anywhere from $20 to $900+.

https://yscatalyticrecycling.com/price-list/

A lot of scrapyards just give a set price for each converter, say $40-50 (maybe less), knowing they will lose on some and kill it on others. Ultimately, the main buyer will grade each one and determine what they will pay the scrap yard for each one. There is a chance the converter you thought was worth $500 is only worth $50. It takes somebody with a lot of time and knowledge to accurately grade a catalytic converter. Not saying all scrap yards don't have that skill, but most of them don't.

If you can get $300-500 for a converter, you are definitely at a scrap yard that knows their stuff...
I just visited my nephew
He's got 30 acre's next to our friends
1000 acre's
On our friends farm he store's fleet
Vehicles he buys and resells
They often set there for months.
His dad recently caught guy's stealing
Converter's but they got away.
At least 20 vehicles have been robbed
They know exactly who did it
And the police will do nothing about it.
He was pissed and said how the *f-word do I keep my property
The police said to boobytrap them
So they won't come back.

I’m willing to bet the title pawn places up there make a damn killin’. And end up with their fare share of vehicles on roll-backs. Lol

I haven't talked to the owner yet
But he is livid at the police.
He run that business for at least 10 years
Never an issue
I want to see the traps he set.

Bumper is in better shape than mine lol. They really aren't too expensive to buy a aftermarket one from LMR. If it's not cracked bad get some flexible bumper repair and prime the chit out of it.

It has a hole in it....but not really a big one. I'll be having El Bubba try to get that crappy primer off before we go too far. The old car is worth saving in my opinion.

Definitely worth saving. Honestly it looks like it's in decent shape. They just keep going up in value. I just found a GT bumper at MACS auto parts for $130. Tempting

I'm hoping we can find a crumpled GT for body parts. Not too crumpled of course. LOL
