I buy whole birds for the smoker from Meijer, Kroger, etc. on sale the whole bird is $3.50-$4.50. I'm not talking their normal sales, $.59/LB or under so stocking up a few times a year. You have to believe that price is still above wholesale and we've all heard how aggressive the Waltons negotiate price.A raw chicken is 8-10.00

Tim, this time asparagus just rinsed off, dried, wrapped with bacon and on the grill it went, on a raised rack over the main rack on the Weber Performer. They didn’t go in until about 3/4 of the way of grilling the thighs. I hit each bundle lightly with bbq sauce on both sides, flipped twice. Indirect heat with coal baskets, grill never got above 300 degs, adding some charcoal along the way.Hey Jason, Quick question on your appetizer platter.
