I hates Ferds. Tracktahs I mean.

The Ollie looks like its knee-deep in rubber on the rears.
I see its got the PAWs.
Those were a good idea, as long as you kept the eccentrics tight...

I hate them damn ferds traktors too but I make good money werkin on them so I allow them in muh shop. That one has a blown gasket on the lift cylinder, don't go up!

The Oliver came to me becauz Sumone been fooking round wif da wirez. Birnd da regulater right out and the points wuz melted. Fooked a round muhself and gots it to this point.

Wasnt actually a power director. Those didnt come along til the D series for the little ones. WD45 had a Power Director starting in 1954. CA just had a hand clutch that disconnected the right axle shaft. Worked just fine, but no low range select like the WD/D series had.

I knew about the right axle clutch, figured it was called the same thing.

Our 175 had the power director. Every damn tractor should have one of them! Unless it's a full power shift. Our 7020 was a full power shift. Fun machine that was!

My friend has thousands of acre's of hay fields and 12-14 modern some new tractor's
But he uses a vintage 6 cylinder gas Oliver
To cut and bale with.
It sounds like it's going to fly apart it revs so high
He said nothing can touch it for power and speed
He gets done in half the time instead of using a modern tractor.

175D and a 6080FWA are two wish list machines of mine.
A D17D WFE is also on the list.
All solid stuff.
7020 black belly or maroon?
I cant remember if they made both. Like the looks of the black belly better, jus cause.

Give her a hug for me and tell her thank you.
Not enough folks doing that job these days. Tell her she is appreciated.
You is right to be a proud poppa.

We have had all of those! After I get these two tractors fixed and out I have a d17 diesel coming to me as a jigsaw puzzle. Was taken apart about 15 years ago for an engine rebuild and never put back together. I only took in on because I want to hear the unique sound of that Buda Diesel!

Ours was black belly.

It sounds good. Ordered everything I need to get it back into reliable working condition now. Going to get a set of four tires too! Damn repair bill is gonna be high for the customer!
Yep.
Tires.
Everything I have needs em.
But if I bought new ones, the tires would be worth WAY MORE than the machines they were on!:):D:risas3:
