Tohatsu sir
For some reason i thought Tohatsu supplied re-badged Hondas in some 4M models, like Mercury do with Tohatsu 2M, and Johnson did with Suzuki 4M and Mercury did with Yamaha 4M....View attachment 301139 It’s the wheel to match that makes all the difference![]()
Is it July the 8th in your world? If so.....it is my 57th birthday.
The tohatsu rebadged mercs are Up to30hp. Merc makes their own 40hp. Tohatsu makes up to 50hp. 60 and larger tohatsu are Honda. Tohatsu now makes a 60hp that is basically a 3 valve per cylinder version of my 40-50hp. It’s a bunch of marketing *f-wordery lolFor some reason i thought Tohatsu supplied re-badged Hondas in some 4M models, like Mercury do with Tohatsu 2M, and Johnson did with Suzuki 4M and Mercury did with Yamaha 4M....
I've been wrong before tho.
Prop's....i like REV4s, have one of those and an Offshore/Vensura too.

Powertec makes good props. Funky Monkey over there can help set up most boat/motor combos.I like powertec srd props but I’m running my Ron hill 18p 4 blade overhub exhaust cleaver. Not what I fish with of course lol
I'm not innocent in deserving some of the beatings i get. But it's time to bury the past and move on.From storys you told I'm betting they are right.

Damn skippyI like to motorboat
I used to port outboards and it sure makes a lot more difference having the best prop and setup for the boat. Kinda like having a ported saws with a *s-word chain. Just not gonna do *s-word. After I switched to 4 stroke outboards the small amount of speed I lost after having a good setup was worth the extra fuel efficiency. But there are still some outboards capable of great gains like the 40 merc they all aren’t so responsive to port work though As Kenny and I were discussingPowertec makes good props. Funky Monkey over there can help set up most boat/motor combos.
Performance props in Soddy Daisy Tenn. can tune a prop for any app.
Props are as bad as saws. Who needs 3 props for a fishing boat anyway.
