The ol’ bucket of yardbird sounded good on the way home but had three boneless, skinless chicken breasts thawed in the fridge so they got stripped into homemade breaded tenders, and sliced up four small spuds for homemade fries. Sliced two Better Boy tomatoes and it was on…

I thought you was hog trapping, there chief?
Fuggin rained out.
Them bastids stink bad when they get wet.
I'll set the traps later and cover them with shingles. I use peanut butter and corn bits on top. Never fails. Now the tree rats may get wise and need culling a bit. Then they relent till next year. Like living at the zoo around here.

This frickin thread. I log out for a few hours to try and get chit done around here, and not be a slacker. I come back and I'm like 4 pages deep.
I try and avoid this nonsense but I get sucked right back in.

I thought you'd be too busy over the neighbours smashing back pacmen and raving to drumNbass?

I usually just mentally ignore it. To catch a break from this crazy well played thread.
But I just can't stay away for to long.
I must like the punishment.
Like an addict.

We tried lots of things to keep deer out of fields. Electric fences, commercial repellants, horns, propane guns etc only work for a short time.
The only thing we found that works is a wire or 2 strung around the field then hang dirty, smelly clothes on the wire.

The trick being you need a dog pen to throw the clothes in to get that fresh dog smell on them AND you have to move the clothes around on the wire every few days.
Move the red shirt and replace with white pants.
Use mainly cotton clothes, they hold smell better.

The change of clothes location, the shape of the clothes cause they don't see much color and smell keeps deer leery of entering the field.

Moving the clothes around and them moving in the breeze is the key.

We had 75 acres of field peas to protect for over 10 years
Perfume and soap..... Worked a couple days. Fishing line with cans to make noise around them. Worked 4 days. We put deer netting around the 2 main gardens and it stopped them. Not cost effective for your situation. I'll have an 8' fence put up around them if need be. Bastards.

Isn't this what all those "pest control sticks" y'all collect are for? Peow Peow...
