Yep. Slip yoke has splines that the driveshaft slides into in the back of the trans.
Fixed yoke with splined two piece driveshaft is better. Just have to grease the shaft every now and then.

Be some good groceries about 6 this evening…sliced another spud, another half a Vidalia onion and added a handful more carrots/mushrooms to the top after I took the pic. Bottom of the crock pot loaded the same, 3lb pan-seared real quick in olive oil roast, sitting in the middle.
