Had to do that and add a pickup tube extension for tubbed street cars with gears. Everything in the tank climbs the back wall and you just plain run out of fuel under half a tank. Far easier doing that then a pick-up well on steel tanks. Now they sell replacement tanks with pick-up wells stamped in them.

I saw the rust in your pick-up sump, terrible!

I had one. That was enough. Woke up 7 hours after tying one on still drunk. Took three days to feel right again. Probably a good thing my body developed a severe intolerance to it. Haven't had even nyquil since 2006

Yep here in Louisiana fuel quality is horrible because of all the moisture in the air of course it gets in the gas station tanks and rusts them. That’s why the fuel stations don’t own the pumps they lease them from the supplier and the liability is off them when you wreck a set of injectors and go back to the fuel station and show them a sample of the bad fuel they sold you. Oh well you gotta get with so and so huge refinery and you ain’t got enough money to sue them. Better luck going to your insurance company and saying you got bad fuel somewhere and you don’t know which station.

I've seen a lot of rust pills in fuel oil tanks from pumping them out. Looks like marbles in sludge. Nasty stuff!

We have a lull in the action so I'm gonna slap some yard bird and smoked pork chops on the kettle. Might have to source a beer to go with it. Here's the remaining pups with mom enjoying bon voyage marrow bones from the local shop.
