View attachment 293054 Well this guy is still kicking so far after the last repairs we made. I don’t know how loud it is where I’m standing there but we are required to wear double hearing protection. With the muffs and plugs you still feel the rumbling and growling through your chest. The bubbling lava makes some creepy sounds.
a lot of the units we work on are foster wheeler also
Some are b&w Babcock and Wilcox

what’s the rating on the units
The ones I usually work on are 650 megawatts
1,2 are mainly steam generators that gets sent to the refinery. What steam is left over makes 120mw a piece. 3 was 150, 4 was 560, 6 is 640. 7 Was 120 but has not ran since 1990 or something. They wrecked it And never replaced it.

120 and 150 are small units those must be the fluidized beds
