Hopefully the aftermarket will keep them alive and get better with quality. What are your thoughts about a dukes piston and cylinder for this saw as AM may be my only option?

But I have bought original parts from the Duke, he is as a person 100%.

If you are going out looking for 262 parts, ebay, search for part number, and only that, no spaces etc. 262 top ends turn up now and then on ebay.

262, there were 5 different top ends if my memory is correct,

After spending the night, I believe it's a Kentucky state law all mufflers must be cut off of all vehicles within 20 minutes of ownership.

They was driving sone real chitboxes when we down there. You must also be required to have a maximum of one bumper and severe front end damage.

Might measure and take some pics of the old piston. That might help narrow it down. The cylinder was missing when I found it.
