Smoke tested the induction system and it's building serious crankcase pressure...

Well...

My 261 I bought in November of 17' finally had enough of me..

There's a big crack on the intake side of the piston and a few chunks broke off..

It doesn't owe me anything so I'm not super pissed off.

That along with the exhaust gasses not being what they should be due to low compression and induction issue.
The intake airflow code is some algorithm that they have in the ecm that essentially somehow compares the airflow into the engine vs the airflow out of the engine and if they don't match within a certain percent, it sets the dtc.
It has no drive ability issues other than check engine light on. Customer said it "runs fine"...

Should still be able to drive Penny got away with a engine stop light on for years

We just had the tank pumped a couple of weeks ago, so it really wasn't too bad smelling. Digging up the old lines was sorta yucky though.

Cost a grand total of 1600.00 to fix it. I hate to think what someone would have charged us.

Good morning, boys, girls and trans sexual creatures,

I got the BP result and it was very nice.
Will be a few hectic weeks, going to the dermatologist, going to the doctor again around week 18 or 19 for covid vaccine. I do not know which vaccine, but the only one she knew about that came in was pfizer.
There will also be a new doctor's appointment in about 6 weeks again, then for a blood test check.

Ours has been good since we bought the place in 03.
Tank hasnt been pumped.
Bad sign when you have to have that done.
It means you have other problems.
As in drain field isnt doing what its supposed to.

Actually, depending on the family size, you should have it pumped every 2-4 years to keep from having problems. Unrelated to tree roots of course. Over time the byproduct of the process fills the tank with solids. Once they get deep enough to flow into your drain field, that's when your trouble will begin as it pluggs the holes in the pipes of said drain field.
