Floppy chain wore away guide.
The plastic intake side guide broke near the top first(probably), which in turn caused the loose chain.

It ate some of it, the rest is in the bottom of the pan.
Customer declined removing the pan to fish the chunks out. Evidently they will just rely on gravity to keep it out of the crank.
Whatever. Not my call.
