Not bad at all price-wise and damn sure got her money’s worth out of the one being replaced.

My 40-gal was here when I bought the place in ‘07. I think I remember the fella saying he put it in in ‘04, that would put it 17 yrs old. No doubt with another anode rod and 4500W elements swap, it’d prob last a while longer. It’s never leaked around the fittings on top nor around either element. Just doesn’t have the longevity/recovery of hot water it used to when doing the multiple shower thing. No doubt it has its’ share of solid sediment and crap in the bottom.

The 55-gallon I ordered, not in stock at any local Lowe’s, is an A.O. Smith Signature Select series with a 9-year warranty. With my mil discount, came to $455...be here week after next.

we do both
110 on small stuff and 220 or whatever you want to call it for heavier appliances such as ranges hot water tanks dryers and some ac units
