I’ll show ya what we call a jambalaya

How do you cook jambalaya? Got some pictures? I’m interested in learning how to cook it like y’all do

I ain't no expert I always imagined it a fair deal wetter than BabyTexs pic. Cajun risotto kinda?

Edit: while I type a better pic turns up...

Use the meat and some oil and vegetables. Brown it down garlic onions celery. Til it’s dark then add chicken stock and rice and some Worcestershire and kitchen bokey, creole seasoning, and hot sauce. To taste. Let the stock cook da rice

How's flat rate work Ed? You get paid service book allowable hours per job and if you're quicker you're on a win?

Yes.
Say I have an Equinox oil burner under warranty. GM time is 13.0 hours. No matter how long it takes me, I get paid 13.
Now let's say a couple rusty bolts twist off in the head or something. I will use a separate clock time for "other labor hours" to fix that part.
If it's customer pay, sometimes we have to eat that time, sometimes they get it and are OK with it.
Flip side is some jobs don't pay well for whatever reason and can't be done in that time. I eat that. I screw something up, I eat that...
If I'm not billing hours I'm not getting paid.

If more people got paid like me, I feel it would change things for the better. If you want to scratch out a decent living, one must be efficient and also take care to be sure it's done right. No room for half-assed.

Here's an example.
The truck I put the oil pump in.
Customer put 150 miles on it.
Check engine light came on.
Has a p0341 cam position sensor circuit code.
Some oil had dripped into the connector while it sat apart.
All the time involved is on me.

Connector with red lock tab..
