We do a pretty decent job of bedding, but that just means it's a thicker mat mixed with shavings and straw.

In their house i put pellets down from tsc with hay on top. The pellets are like cat litter for ducks. In their pen I just put sand down. They like to play in it and it drains well

We only pen them up in the winter. Thankfully. The Muscovys are pretty bad mfers in the warmer months. They lay in groups in the yard at night and nothing really phukks with them. Some will roost. A coon or 'yote is more likely to harass a turkey.

I only pen mine up at night as I have a pretty active coyote population here. At night they'll come right up to the back of the house. The ducks have free reign during the day. They spend most of their day in the pond
