I've just been talking virgin snow, once paths are cut, ruts are created, and snow packs down it's just not the same

I had a 72 K5 blazer with 31x10.50 mud kings. Outstanding drift blaster / deep snow rig. Fugg I should have kept that.

Or locked up. I got caught once doing doughnuts in a rainy parking lot right next to the boardwalk in OC NJ. Then a cop roll up out from under it in 3 wheels closed cart. I'm like wtf. Handed him a grant folded behind my credentials. Got a warning back in writing.
Rental cops were pushover crooks back thirty some years ago.

we dont have mall cops here because we dont have malls

back then if they caught you doing donuts or playing they would just tell you to go home
i use to have a 4 wheeler and was playing in a private field
but at the mean time guys was in town riding and one spun a county cop car around on snowy roads
they was searching and saw my tracks and questioned me about it and i showed them my 4 wheeler and they saw it said it was too small and wrong color

Welp....coonasses and icy roads don’t mix. On my way to work this morning I hit a patch of black ice and truck went off the road and took out a mailbox. Boss told me stay home not safe to drive. Then calls me at 11am and says we’ll come to work tomorrow we’re working all weekend. Ca de don sa. I got a *frenched up truck now and a mailbox to fix. Then prepare to do it all again in the morning. *f-word ice!

If it’s plain black ice with no snow on it, there’s not much you can do. The best vehicle and tires in the world lock up and go whatever direction it wants to take you

or load truck up with coal while hes at work it can be used to get grip if needed also

As has already been said, main thing to do is SLOW DOWN.
Brake pedal is your enemy.
If you start to slide, dont touch the brakes. Steer into it.
Been lucky to have a service truck with A LOT of weight in the back. Goes fine in snow.
No good in ice. 19.5 tires are stiff AF. No give.

when i was in maine years ago went to a museum that had old snow plow stuff in it ill post some pictures
i cant remember the name of it but they had everything from trains to chainsaws in there
