Finally fixed the hot water duct today first pic was last weeks effort before I pulled it down this morning and rebuilt it today in its final position hopefully I would hate to think what the total bill for all trades involved last pic was last weeks effort

Coolness! I want to see what a 261 can do! Will that dual shoe clutch hold power or is the swap to the 3 shoe needed? I heard they are harder to come by now.

Seems like a 357 clutch works though, but I’m not certain on that

I tink so, 550/562 clutch might too.

357/359 clutch is bolt on for a 254/261/262, no washer needed.
550/560/562 need a 262 washer.

The reason why the 550/562 clutch needs the washer for 261 while not having a washer on the 550/562, is the design of the corners of the clutch drum.
550/562 and 262 also have a flat clutch hub, while 261 and 357 have a clutch hub who build out a bit.

It would be like locking the barn after the horses are gone. I don’t want to make light of the situation down South. It is terrifying to hear what is happening. We are used to and prepared and so are you, Texas and Louisiana certainly aren’t as prepared as we are. I could imagine living through some of the stories I am hearing.
