Dry cold, if it was damp and this cold it would be deadly. It’s throw a cup of hot water in the air and it’s frosty pellets by the time it hits the ground.

Been a nice couple of days here. Plenty warm and sunny. Too bad I was outta town with work.

So....young Jonathan and I installed the cylinder heads on our 351W project. He's putting some thread sealant on the head bolts here.



Next we'll get the pushrod length nailed down and order those. That should wrap up this thing.

Y'all might be wondering why it seems like we been here before....a couple of months ago.

After I played around with a few different sets of rocker arms, I finally settled on a full roller 1.7 ratio rocker. Then I sent the heads off to have them blueprinted.

The valve job was redone on the intakes to lower the valves into the head .050" further. That helped the valve tips have an installed height that was closer to the exhaust valve height. Then it was just a little off the tips to make them all perfect.

The machinist also installed steel shims under all the valve springs that have a lip to hold the springs in place. Seat pressure checked out at 125 pounds.
