Especially the old ones with Sarah Mcglaughlin.:(

I'm ok. Got Tia spending the night with her aunt(wife's sister). Lucy is here, and we are having the "grand-dog" spend the night.

Thanks Brent. I actually messed up my Echo 490 earlier today. I went way overboard on a muffler mod by drilling a 1/2” hole in the center. It’s crazy loud now, but it has a nice sound to it. I’ll probably replace the muffler because now there’s no backpressure
Wont hurt it at all.
You probably helped it, necause now the muffler has become an "expansion chamber".
Kinda like the old McCullochs I tinker with. Just lets the "freedom" out. Dont worry about the noise. Better breathing is a good thing for a 2 stroke.

Wouldn’t it basically eliminate the backpressure because it’s a straight shot out the exhaust port? If that’s not the case, then I’m happy

what do you think the front dual port covers for the bigger stihls do ?
i have saws you can stick your fingers in the exhaust so 1/2 inch doesnt mean *s-word

Good to know. That would just mean the flow was increased and I just made a cheap dual port?

Oh.
You put the hole in the center of the shell.
Yeah.
See what Pat did.
That's more better.
You did pretty much the same thing, but the side exits do add some return for exhaust pulse. Hard to explain, but its all a timing thing.
It needs to breathe, but it also needs to equalize pressure in the chamber. No back pressure leads to negative chamber pressure on exhaust, which leads to inadequate charge on intake, which leads to bad things.
