Next little project on the cub. I wouldn't mind having brakes and 4 new pads for this tractor is $200+. Yes that is correct and i soiled myself too when I saw that. I found McMaster sells brake lining material of all sorts so I ordered a small sheet of it to reline these rusty turds

a bandsaw or grinder and a set of car brakes also works
i made pads for the little tractor from a set of chevy truck brakes

It’s amazing how tiny the power plant is in those yet they put out some serious torque to turn the rotors once there’s enough gear reduction!

300 ish hp up to 650 depending on the model.

500’s are a ton of fun. My brother used to fix them and one of his friends flys them. Every time I visited him we went flying, even did some torpedo slinging of the USN one time.

Bad ass. They are my favorite chopper. Never been in one but I'm a former plane / copter nerd.
