I’ll tell you fellas something that’s been bothering me since late last night after I got some texts from another Marine in a private Marine FB Group. Kinda the reason I was looking for a beer after work today. Was actually a ‘toast’...to a young Brother Marine that I never met. He committed suicide. I know now many details after the fact...but they don’t make a damn now.

It’s a f’d up life we Marines share, make no bones about that. It was hard on me to read the texts last night. The wars have taken their fare share of fine young men and women while actively engaged and fighting, across all branches. When they come home and try to adapt to what is ‘normal, everyday life’...it can be a tough row to hoe.

I don’t like to put this post up...but if I nor anybody shared things like this, it can get a little swept under the rug. He fought for every damn one of us.

He left behind a wife and young daughter.

If you folks know of any Veteran struggling, if they give any clues...just listen to them...they speak the truth from their perspective, it’s what they know and how they are, trying to cope...just listen to them, talk to them, don’t be judgmental...if given the opportunity. You could be a game changer in many lives!

Not me -- but that was a go to thing on AS.
Put the greasy plastics in the dish washer. We have a dishwasher, but she does not wash chainsaw parts

I'm the one in the house that would pop a cork over that type of nonsense. I have a recovering neat freak inside me head. Besides, my wife has a bloodhound nose fir smells she don't like, exhaust fumes and "greasy garage" smells are high on that list. I can start an engine outside with fresh clothes on, barely run it, and she will say, "you stink, you smell like exhaust". So not only would I never just because of me OCD, I couldn't get away with it anyway.

So a few weeks ago I went to pick up a 2x4, my hand slipped and a long sliver from the edge impaled my hand fairly deep between my fingers. I thought I got it all but a few days later my hand started to swell and puss came out. Over the last few weeks I've had a painful knot between my fingers with crap coming out at times. Well tonight I squeezed the crap out and went on a digging mission. Found this half inch mfer still in there.

I dig this guy.

He was a trip old Ralph was. The stories that effer told me about Nam and his heroin addiction over there from the *s-worde he seen and did ect. Sumbeatch had this little mg car. He convinced me to take a ride in it at lunch time. I can tell you this, I never road with him again, and I learned Ralph had no fears of dying. He was just showing me how well it handled he said. Almost had to toss my undies in the trash.

I'm ok. Kinda on zombie cruise control with all of the work right now. I'll either get tomorrow off if the furnace is finished or Tuesday off because of the new "work/life balance consecutive work day" policy. Thanks for asking.
