Back when mower racing Tecumseh twins we would reduce the 5/16" valves down to 1/4" stems. So, I heated up the heads in the oven to press the new guides in..
House stunk, wife was unhappy.

Flip the nut over and put it on until it’s flush with the end of the crank and hit it with a BFH

i leave nut on if i dont have the puller and hammer and a big punch at the end of the crank

I have pullers thanks. You don’t pry on em though just give it some leverage while some love taps on the crank with the nut on it. They pop right off easy

So a few weeks ago I went to pick up a 2x4, my hand slipped and a long sliver from the edge impaled my hand fairly deep between my fingers. I thought I got it all but a few days later my hand started to swell and puss came out. Over the last few weeks I've had a painful knot between my fingers with crap coming out at times. Well tonight I squeezed the crap out and went on a digging mission. Found this half inch mfer still in there.

Worked with a dude way back. He had been in Nam. Anyway his wife left him over buying every junk car he could find but let the house fall down around them. After that he turned a bedroom into a "paint room" and restored and customized his motorcycle in the house over winter. One day he came in limping. Broke a toe stubbing it on the small lathe in the living room. This dude was something.
