Those early LS motors were solid. Ive got an 01 1/2 ton z71 thats got close to 300k. I had an 08 same truck 5.3. Pile of chit.

Its still pretty clean. I bought it 6 yrs ago from down south and every yr before winter i pull the body plugs and drench it inside and out in fluid film. Still has original rockers and cab corners.
